The Gentleman's Padel Retreat

Leave the week behind you.

An invitation-only weekend for twelve gentlemen — three days on one of Miami's most iconic stretches of beachfront, given the way it should be.

Sep 25–27, 2026 The Ritz-Carlton Key Biscayne, Miami

An invitation-only weekend where twelve gentlemen trade the week behind them for three days of world-class padel, ocean air, and the kind of unhurried camaraderie that's become rare.

Racks & Raquets presents The Gentleman's Padel Retreat — a curated weekend at The Ritz-Carlton Key Biscayne, Miami, for players who take the game seriously and appreciate the setting it deserves. Premium coaching led by Cliff Drysdale teaching professionals from Spain, competitive match play, recovery built into the schedule, and a small group of like-minded men sharing one of Miami's finest beachfront properties.

Twelve guests. Three days. One of the most underserved experiences in men's sport, delivered the way it should be.

The setting

Two nights, beachfront

Your room at The Ritz-Carlton Key Biscayne, Miami, with the ocean a few steps from the court.

The coaching

Coaches from Spain, four guests at a time.

The weekend is taught by Cliff Drysdale teaching professionals at The Ritz-Carlton Key Biscayne, Miami. Across three courts the ratio never slips — four guests to a coach — with sessions tailored to your game and grouped by level. Instruction that actually reaches you: corrections in real time, not a clinic you watch from the back of the line.

4:1 guests to every coach, across three courts — held to twelve players, no exceptions.

Three days, paced like a good one should be.

If you're giving this to the man in your life — a milestone birthday, a thank-you, a long-overdue escape — he'll arrive to a group of men who take the game as seriously as he does.

We handle every detail, from the court to the gifting to the recovery. He comes home looser than he's been in months. You get the credit.

Good to know

Questions, answered.

Who is this for?

Experienced recreational players who want serious coaching in a setting worth the trip. If padel is already part of your life and you'd enjoy three days of it among good company, you'll be at home here.

What level of play should I have?

Advanced beginner and up. Sessions are grouped by ability, and the four-to-one ratio means coaching meets you where your game actually is — whether you're firming up the fundamentals or sharpening a competitive edge.

I'd be coming on my own. Will I know anyone?

Most guests arrive solo. By the first reception, that changes. The group is intentionally small for exactly this reason — twelve men, not a hundred.

Can I bring a guest who isn't playing?

Yes — a guest is welcome to share your room. The retreat itself, coaching, programming, receptions, and gifting, is reserved for registered players, so a companion's stay covers the room only. Just let us know when you reserve.

What should I bring?

Your racquet, if you have one you love; equipment is available otherwise. Court and resort attire for three days, and not much else.

Is it really limited to twelve?

Yes. Three courts, four guests each, no exceptions. The cap is the point.

How do I reserve, and what is the founding rate?

A $500 deposit secures your place, with the balance following a simple schedule — see Reserving your place below. The founding rate is held for the first five rooms reserved; standard pricing applies after.

By July 15 50%

Half of your weekend fee is due, with your deposit credited toward it.

By August 1 Balance

Final payment in full, ahead of the weekend.

All payments are nonrefundable, and a missed payment releases your place. Your reservation is fully transferable, though — if your plans change, you're welcome to send a guest in your stead. We recommend travel insurance; coverage starts around $30, and Allianz is a solid option for U.S. and Canadian residents. The one exception is a closure of the host resort due to unforeseen circumstances or a natural disaster.

Weather. The courts are open-air, and we follow USTA guidelines for play in varying conditions — each player decides what's right for them. The camp won't cancel for rain; we'll reschedule missed court hours during your stay where possible, and refund any court hours we're unable to provide.
